Community Fire Safe Council Support

The Associate Membership Program of the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County is a voluntary agreement program designed by the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County to help maintain the integrity of groups using the name and/or logo of the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County.

The Memorandum of Agreement has been established for Community Fire Safe Councils desiring Associate Membership with the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County.  Please carefully review the Memorandum of Agreement with your council members. If your FSC members fully understand and agree to comply with the terms of the Agreement, please complete and submit the signed original Memorandum of Agreement to the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County at 11769 Waterhill Road, Lakeside, CA  92040. 

All submitted Memorandums of Agreement and use of Community FSC name and logo will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors of the Fire Safe Council.

Benefits & Services Offered to Associate Member Councils

  • Associate Membership with the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County (advisory, non-voting member of the Board of Directors)
  • California Fire Safe Council has authorized the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County to approve/register local FSC logos and use of the name “Fire Safe Council” on its behalf upon review by FSCSDC Board of Directors. (All questions regarding legal issues are to be referred to the CAFSC which owns and/or has copyright for the name and logo of the “Fire Safe Council.”)

  • Council formation tools, including assistance with meeting facilitation
  • Newsletter (quarterly)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE NO-COST CHIPPING SERVICES:
Chipping Services are limited to available grant funding.  Current funding is expected to end soon.  Therefore, no new requests are being accepted at this time, effective 3/1/2010.
All requests are processed on a ‘first-come, first ‘served” basis and are prioritized by contractors according to geographic area.  Please call the RCD/FSC office to determine the status of your existing request.
